Translation Rates

Translation charges are based on the number of Japanese characters or English words in the original text.
The rates shown below are applicable for most translations, but in certain cases different rates may apply, for example if the original document is difficult to read or is in an unusual format. I will specify the rate in my quotation.
All translations are subject to a minimum charge.

A few simple figures or tables will be formatted at no additional cost. However for complex items, or documents requiring a significant amount of formatting, an additional charge of £50 per hour will be included in the quotation.
Rates for other work
Work other than direct translation will be charged at a rate of £50 per hour. Examples include proof-reading, text formatting and document layout. I have even been requested to help a client place an order for goods via a Japanese internet site!
